Board Removing Theater Renovation Barriers
This week Sean Walter and the Town Board have started removing legal barriers which have hampered renovation of the downtown theater. Bob Castaldi is now anxious to get back to work on the repair job.
Sean Walter to Continue Private Attorney Duties
The newly elected Supervisor says that he will continue to practice law performing routine functions that will not take him away from his primary focus as Supervisor of the Town.
Obama Deal With Unions May Be Unconstitutional
A deal by the Administration to allow unions off the hook by not requiring them to pay the proposed health care tax on Cadillac plans gives special treatment to one group (the unions) over another group (the rest of Americans) . Many view this as unconstitutional and may end up in the courts.
Building Referendum Scheduled
The Riverhead Board of Education has scheduled the $123 million building referendum as follows:
Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2010
Time: Between 6 am and 9 pm
Location: At the Riverhead High School Gym
