Helicopter Update
The Appellate Division: Second Department has ruled in favor of the Town of Riverhead for the second time regarding the case of Town of Riverhead v Walter Gezari, et al. ...............The Court denied Mr. Gezari's formal motion to stay (suspend) Justice Farneti's order prohibiting helicopter activity on Deep Hole Road pending a hearing and determination of an appeal therefrom.

Romaine To Introduce Flight Resolution
Legislator Ed Romaine will introduce a resolution to the County Legislature on Tuesday evening (8/19) at 6:30 pm. The resolution proposes mandating flight altitude restrictions for all flights over Suffolk County at 2500 feet. The legislature will meet at the Riverhead Culinary Institute. Public invited.
Guv's Property Tax Cap On the Agenda

Governor Paterson would like to cap New York State property taxes at no more than a 4% increase. It has passed the Senate and is going to the Assembly for consideration. E-mail or call Marc Alessi if you want him to vote yes.
