Legislature Passes Helicopter Bill

The Suffolk County Legislature has passed the helicopter noise bill which, hopefully, will provide some relief to County residents who have been enduring the endless noise of low flying traffic between New York City and the Hamptons.

Presumably the bill will enforce altitude limitations as well as prescribed routes which could also decrease the noise levels. It isn't clear as to how soon these limits will be applied. Apparently the bill requires that the FAA become involved in order to provide their input as to limitations.
