Tim Bishop Meeting..a shouting match (click photo to see video)

You may want to review the various You Tube offerings to make up your own mind about Congressman's Town Hall meeting this past Thursday evening. The meeting, held in the Sachem High School on Granny Road brought out the expected fireworks both in and outside the school auditorium. Some 900 early birds attended inside (not all, it appeared from the 1st Congressional District) with an additional 500 outside who shouted their protests and carried placards. A strong union presence evidenced by their red T-shirts shouted in support of the health care bill. Several of the red shirts were escorted out of the auditorium by police after some heated confrontations.

Mark Levin...a generous offer.
Talk radio host Mark Levin is often called "The Great One" by his fellow media hosts. It is no wonder. He is a brilliant lawyer, written many books, is an expert on Constitutional law and is devoted to his conservative values and cause. His latest book "Liberty and Tyranny" has been on the NY Times best seller list since it was first published. The final chapter in the book is Levin's Conservative Manifesto and quite frankly is the highlight of this important document. Levin is now allowing anyone who wants to copy or download and print The Manifesto to simply go to his web site, Mark Levin Show select and download the pages (in PDF), print it, link it, forward it or simply print it and pass it around to those who care. Click here if you just want this chapter: A Conservative Manifesto. Better still - buy and own the book.

Board of Ed Proposes Huge Bond IssueThe Riverhead Board of Education will propose a 123 million dollar bond issue to cover the cost of Middle School expansion, physical move of Administrative offices to the Roanoke School and some additional projects. This proposal comes at a time when the Town and the Nation are in an economic downslide despite what the TV talking heads would like you to believe. Only one member of the Board objected to the proposal, preferring that the plan be reduced or withdrawn entirely. The Board is proposing a referendum by the public be held in order to secure residents approval (or rejection).
