Word from the Superintendent's office is that Obama's speech to students (characterized by many as indoctrination) will not be shown to Riverhead students but may be recorded and shown at a future date. Parents will be notified if that happens.
Meanwhile...in Broward County Florida....
The school superintendent has stated that students will be punished if they do not view the speech. No word on what the punishment will be.

Mixed reports about showing the speech. Most districts are not back in session for the scheduled speech date although most districts are not sure if and when they will show it (if at all).
Startling Survey about Sex Offenders (month ago)
Nassau has 492 sex offenders while Suffolk has 929 The Suffolk breakdown is 454 Level 1, 303 Level 2 and 168 Level 3. Creepy!
Gun Owner Alert
If you are a gun owner or simply believe in the Second Amendment, you'd better keep an eye on Congress. Someone is trying to pass HR 45 which would create a National Firearms Registry, require gun buyers to pass a written exam and prohibit private sales of firearms.
