Bernsten Makes it Official
Gary Bernsten, former CIA officer, made his run for the U.S. Senate official on Saturday, May 22, by announcing his candidacy before a crowd on Foley Square. He will oppose Chuck Schumer in the November election. Jim Staudenraus, a Long Islander, has also announced his intent to run for the Senate. Former Congressman Tom Tancredo has endorsed Staudenraus.
Lazio Marches, Cuomo Announces.
Rick Lazio, former Congressman from Brightwaters marched in the Israel recognition parade and made a strong showing with the public. Steve Levy who trails Lazio in the polls will oppose Lazio in a Republican primary for the NY State Governor slot. NY Attorney General also made it official by announcing his intentions to run for Governor on the Democrat side.
Hard to Believe Stuff
Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania is proposing a $163 billion bailout of unions nationwide. Funds would be to make up the huge shortfall in pensions .
Another proposal is for $23 billion dollars for teachers unions to avoid layoffs. And yet Obama came out the very same day saying he wants to stop all the spending. What??
