Suffolk County 9-12ers Will Rally at GOP Convention
Members of the SC 9-12 Project will converge on New York City Tuesday morning in a mass rally to influence the New York State Republicans in nominating Gary Bernsten for the run for U.S. Senator opposing Chuck Schumer in November.  Other potential candidates remain interested which may force the GOP to run a primary.
9-12ers, Tea Party members and CSA organizers are expected to make a strong showing.  SC 9-12ers are expected to arrive with two or three bus loads.

Riverhead Resorts Wants Extension
The Riverhead Resort group has asked the Town Board for an extension on it's contract to purchase 755 acres at EPCAL.  The reason for the request is not known at this time.  Several Board members including Jodi Giglio object to the extension.

GOP Convention in MidTown Manhattan
Republicans gathering in midtown NYC will begin their convention by accepting nominations for NY State Comptroller and for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Chuck Schumer.  A number of candidates including Gary Bernsten are vying for the nomination.
Meanwhile former congressman Rick Lazio and Suffolk Executive Steve Levy are hoping for the nomination for NY State Governor.

Report: Paterson Prepares to Lay Off Thousands
A report by a large news agency states that Gov Paterson is preparing to lay off thousands of State workers starting in January 2011 and has asked department heads to begin selecting those who would be cut at the start of the new year.
