Today's election for President may be the most important election in the past 100 years. It is interesting how, despite a campaign that has lasted several years, the entire process was brought into focus in just the past few weeks.
The unbelievable incompetence on the part of your government with regard to the events in Benghazi in which four Americans lost their lives is almost impossible to comprehend. No point in rehashing that event here. It will be told and retold for years to come.
Now couple Benghazi with the horrendous storm of last week and the complete failure of Federal agencies to cope with giving help to our neighbors on the South Shore, the North Shore, Staten Island, Breezy Point, Fire Island and the East End. When did you ever expect to have Americans on Long Island beg for help, ask for food, water, blankets and have their misery compounded with a lack of gasoline.
If you haven't been to one of these ravaged areas, better go take a look for yourself. It is devastating.
And yet Mayor Bloomberg, Governor Christie, Janet Napolitano and the rest are busy congratulating each other for the great job that's being done.
It has been four years of inept government and it is time the American people get their country back.
Please vote today.
