Variance Notice for Animal Shelter
The Riverhead Town Zoning Board of Appeals has sent a Notice of a Request for Variance on a property immediately west of and adjacent to a number of homes in the Preserve just south of Youngs Avenue. The variance, if approved, would allow the installation and operation of an animal shelter on what is now a grazing and corral area for a variety of farm animals.
Property owners in The Preserve are asked to make their comments known to the ZBA and Town Clerk's office so that Town officials are aware of any objections to use of that property for the purpose described in the notice. All comments which would demand rejection of the proposed variance would be helpful in this matter.
