Helicopters Collide - 6 Dead
Two med-evac helicopters have collided in Flagstaff Arizona killing 6 people and injuring 2 on the ground. On flight nurse survived and is in critical condition. The accident set fire to 10 acres of land within the Flagstaff city limits.

Despite attempts to reduce helicopter traffic over residential areas on the North Fork and elsewhere on the Island, helicopter and aircraft noise continues with little or no apparent change.

Landfill - a Future Solar Park?
There is a proposal to convert the landfill property on Youngs Avenue to a facility which would generate solar energy for the Town. Ok.

Supervisor Unhappy with Downtown Progress
Supervisor Phil Cardinale has expressed his displeasure at the lack of real progress in updating the downtown area. Can't disagree.

Oil Climbs to $143
While energy prices continue to soar and the stock market plunges and the housing market spirals downward - Congress takes a ten day recess.
