Outstanding Memorial Day Tributes

There were many thoughtful (and emotional) tributes to our fallen men and women this past weekend.

The National Memorial Concert staged in front of the Capitol building on Sunday evening was beautifully done and a very satisfying salute to our armed forces.

The Capitol stands in sharp contrast to these genuine American heroes. The men and women in uniform served without concern for themselves but only for country and their fellow soldiers. The Capitol, on the other hand, is symbolic of current ineptness and selfish political gain.

Throw Out Term Limits?

Jose Serrano (D) NY has submitted a bill to repeal the current two term limit for the President. This is one of those stealth bills that are sneaked through a committee and then suddenly appear on the House floor for a vote. Watch for it!

The Tea Party Is Not Dead!!

Tax Day (April 15) is, of course, history and the Tax Day Tea Party needs a new identity. Time for a new name and a new schedule of events. Now click on Tea Party Patriots in the right column, then select the calendar for the new Tea Parties scheduled for July 4th.

ATTENTION RIVERHEAD; DON'T SEE YOU ON THE SCHEDULE AS YET.

New Battle For Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart lost the battle to build a huge store here in Riverhead and may try it again. At the moment the big chain has plans to build a 126,000 square foot store at the intersection of Hospital Road and Sunrise Highway. The Brookhaven Town Board will open hearings this week. The retailer is up against the detractors of Wal-Mart operations who merely seek to unionize some 250 jobs. Suffolk can't afford to lose these jobs once again.

Question?

Did the Administration and Car Czar shutdown Chrysler and GM dealerships prematurely and unnecessarily resulting in a huge loss of jobs across the country?....and are they having second thoughts????

Love to Watch The old DC-3? Me too.
