Protect and Defend It!

Public Outraged at Gillibrand's Acorn Vote.
When the Senate voted (83-7) to defund Acorn from receiving HUD or housing monies from the Government, only 7 Senators voted against the bill. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) was among the seven. She had illustrious company including Durbin and Burress from Illinois, Pat Leahy and Bernie Sanders from Vermont and various other left wingers.

Long Islanders have been outraged over Gillibrand's vote especially with the recent sleazy and scandalous video revelations playing over the cable channels. Only last week, the U.S. Census advised Acorn that it would no longer use their services for future census taking.

Gillibrand was, of course, endorsed by Acorn in her run for Senate election next year. Appointed by Paterson when Hillary opted for the Secretary of State position, many feel that she is now vulnerable in the coming election.
