USS New York Commissioned

The strategic supply and support naval ship USS New York was commissioned in New York harbor on Saturday, November 7, 2009. This historic vessel was partially built, of course, from 7 1/2 tons of steel reclaimed from the remnants of the World Trade Center. The steel is mainly contained in the bow of this great ship.

Meanwhile at Fort Hood, Texas

Soldiers, civilians and families on post or living nearby are trying to recover from the terrible shootings at the installation's processing center which left 13 dead and 38 wounded. The victims are men and women who chose to volunteer service for their country and willing to fight for their country and our way of life

In Sharp Contrast.......

While the commissioning of the USS New York honored the 3000 men and women who lost their lives on 9/11 and the tragedy at Ft Hood brought in to focus the honorable service of the men and women in the armed services who are asked to risk their lives everyday.........in sharp contrast were the activities of the boobs in Congress who are elated at the prospect of passing a health care bill that no one wants and the fact that THEY ARE IN VIOLATION OF THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION and don't seem to care!!!
