May 8 Also Commemorates VE Day
On this date, May 8, 1945 Allied forces in Europe declared that that the enemy had accepted terms for a cease fire and surrender, effectively ending hostilities in Europe. Victory in Japan would come later.
Where is the Kitten Part 2
Just recently another kitten showed up at our backdoor (with momma cat) looking for a handout of course. It was cold and nasty outside so we obliged with some cat food. Obviously this cycle of feral cats born under sheds and porches was not going to end. We captured the kitten and took it to the Kent shelter where they neutered it for a donation/fee. We kept it quiet and comfortable for 4 days in a cage in our foyer and then released it back to it's natural habitat. We need every one's cooperation to slow down this feral population.
