June 14, 2011 -
The 236th Birthday of the U.S. Army

Q: Why Were the E-Verify Hearings and Debate Postponed by the Suffolk County Legislature??

A: Because Legislator Ricardo Montano (D-Brentwood) made a motion to postpone until after budget hearings on November 9 with the motion seconded by William Lindsey (D-Holbrook).

More than 900 companies in Nassau and Suffolk have signed up for the program.  What were the Democrats afraid of?   Losing some votes? This program is hugely effective in weeding out illegals nationwide and should be adopted permanently in both counties.

Farm Bureau Supports Zeldin

Zeldin Military Funeral Protest Bill Advances
Sen Lee Zeldin (R) is co-sponsor of a bill that would severely limit the ability of  individuals or groups to protest the funerals of military personnel.  This comes as the result, of course, of groups such as the Westboro Church group who have made unseemly protests in the past.  There are some who object to the bill as it may have unintended consequences to those who believe their first amendment rights in situations other than funeral protests could be compromised.

Suffolk 9-12 Group Meeting
The Suffolk 9-12 Group will have it's monthly meeting on Wednesday evening, June 15, at 7 PM.  Location: The Polish Hall in Riverhead.  Membership has been growing steadily and is now at 1021 conservative and liberty loving members.  A conservative Democratic candidate for the Riverhead Town Board has been invited to speak before the group. Fair and Balanced.
