Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene is expected to hit the eastern seaboard as it moves up the  coast of the U.S. at about 14 mph.

Winds have been recorded at 148 mph in the Bahamas as it moves on a path that would take it over the Outer Banks toward Long Island and New England
