GOP Primary for U.S. Senate


Wendy Long, Manhattan attorney has won the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate,  defeating Congressman Bob Turner and George Maragos
Long had been endorsed by many conservatives and Republicans including Ambassador John Bolton, financial expert Steve Forbes, the NY State Conservative Party and the New York Post.

Long will face Kirsten Gillibrand in November


Randy Altschuler won the GOP  nomination for Congress runing essentially unopposed for the First Congressional District (Long Island) and will face Tim Bishop (D) in November.  Altschuler garnered 6,692 votes or 87% of the votes cast.

Democrat Primary
Charlie Rangel has won the nomination  for congress .
