Job Situation Serious

This morning's report of jobless claims by the US Labor Department is not good news at all.  The jobless claim figure has jumped from last week by more than 26,000 to a weekly number of 385,000.  Not being widely reported is that over 600,000 Americans have left the job market having given up on finding work.

There are now more than 90 million Americans out of work and its not getting better.  Throw in the news that over 47 million are receiving food stamps and more than 8.8 million more are on disability.  Please make note that this has nothing to do with the sequester.

Cancer Clinics Turn Away Patients

The government has taken away funding for many cancer fighting drugs including those used in chemotherapy resulting in clinics (which treat seniors on medicare) to turn these patients away.  The HHS, congress and this campaigning president should have been aware of this problem and corrected it before it happened.  Many seriously ill medicare patients are now at risk.  WHAT ARE YOU DOING WASHINGTON?  GET BACK IN SESSION AND DO YOUR JOB.

Rush to Pass Gun Laws 

The absolute rush to pass poorly structured gun control laws is having a negative effect on the problem they are attempting to solve.  Magpul with hundreds of employees in Colorado has announced that it will leave that state asap.  Beretta, another famous firearms manufacturer will soon move from Maryland as that state passes a poorly worded bill.    Despite all the words, the meetings, the hearings...none of these states have addressed the mental health issue or of having an armed school guard to protect the students.
