Snowstorm Forecast for North Fork on Thanksgiving
The first winter storm in the northeast is expected to hit our area on Wednesday evening into Thursday morning (Thanksgiving Day).  It is possible that the storm will stay north of the Island and head onto New England states.

Town Budget Expected to Pass Without a Vote.
Several members of the town board asked that a vote be taken to determine if the Town budget is to be proposed to the public.  +Some on the board thought that the budget could be approved by simple acclamation instead of an approval vote.  The budget is for $53.7 million dollars with an anticipated tax levy increase of 2.8% or roughly $14 for a house currently assessed at $50,000.

Court House Restaurant to be Torn Down.
Maybe??? The Courthouse Restaurant said to be over 100 years and vacant for about 8 years or more may be ton down by the town unless the owner repairs the property.
