Cuomo Proposes $1000 Tax Break
Governor Andrew Cuomo has proposed a $1000 tax break for Suffolk County home owners over a period of 4 years.
The tax assist will help those who endure high property taxes.

Twelve Upstate Towns Want Out
Twelve towns in upstate NY counties that border Pennsylvania are considering a proposal to secede from New York State and join the adjoining state.  Involved is the refusal by New York to approve tracking, a system of extracting oil currently rejected by NY State.  The towns believe that they are suffering a lack of jobs and economic benefits experienced by those on the Pennsylvania side of the border.

Suffolk Legislature Questions Pay Increase
The Suffolk Police Department has proposed an increase in the pay of the police chaplain from $5000 to $25,000 for the part time position.  The legislature is questioning the increase.
