Also celebrated in Canada on the same day.

Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE)
Suffolk County Department of Health says EEE is an imminent threat to health for Suffolk residents. More deadly than West Nile Virus. Standing pools of water especially hazardous.

Library to Unionize
Employees of the Riverhead Public Library have voted to unionize.

Legislature to Approve Widening Route 58
Plans are in the works to widen route 58 from Osborn to the traffic circle by creating an additional highway lane.
