Rechler Equity Partners have raised some doubts about their contract to purchase some 300 acres at EPCAL for $35 million dollars. The state of the economy as well as some environmental factors are causing Rechler to raise the red flag. Riverhead Supervisor says that they (Rechler) may renegotiate their contract or even pull out of the deal if they choose. The property is zoned light industrial.

Stimulus On The Road
The travel from Washington DC to Denver and Phoenix and back on Air Force One in order to make a showing of signing the ballyhooed Stimulus Bill cost the American taxpayers over $800,000.

Zoning Snags Lowes
Lowes plan to take over the Suffolk Life property on Rte 58 is running into zoning problems.
