Ann Cotten Degrasse, Greg Meyer and Kim Ligon win seats on the school board
New: Riverhead Democratic Committee has nominated former supervisor Phil Cardinale to oppose Republican Sean Walter for the Town Supervisor position. Matthew Van Glad and former State Trooper Marlando Williams were nominated to run for the Town Board.

Wooten Calls Off Bid
Town Councilman Jim Wooten has called off his threat to seek the nomination for Town Syupervisor and instead, will once again look to be nominated for his own position as Councilman. This settles an anticipated heated dispute between Wooten and present Supervisor Sean Walter.
School Budget May 17
The Riverhead Central School District has scheduled the school budget vote for Tuesday, May 17 at the High School gym between 6 am and 9 pm. The proposed $109 million dollar budget is expected to draw many Riverhead residents into the voting booth.
Four candidates are also seeking three open seats on the school board. The candidates are:
Ann Cotten-Degrasse
Patricia Sapienza-Brown
Greg Meyer
Kim Ligon
Suffolk County Executive Race
The Suffolk County GOP Committee has all but announced the selection of Randy Altschuler as it's nominee for County Executive. There have been a number of other interested Republicans seeking the GOP nod including current county Treasurer Angie Carpenter and former congressman Rick Lazio. The party was hoping to avoid a primary fight.
