Mixed Use for EPCAL?
The Town  Board seems to have run out of solutions for EPCAL and will now consider mixed use for the former Grumman site.  Mixed use means residential, commercial and industrial.  The original transfer of the property from the Navy ruled out housing as a use for the acreage and Supervisor Walter also thought that housing was not appropriate but he seems to have changed his mind.o

The Board has called for a public hearing..  Board member Jodi Giglio objected to the public hearing and also objects to the consideration of housing for EPCAL.

Train Station to Taxi Company
The LIRR will lease the Riverhead train station building to a taxi company for 10 years.  The Town, apparently, elected not to use the building for any community purpose.
