Planning Board Decision Stirring Up Anger in The Preserve
We learned this past Thursday, June 1, that the Planning Board is unlikely to change it's mind about opening the cul-de-sac in The Preserve to provide access to the adjacent (but not yet approved) subdivision. Despite numerous letters and petitions, the Board seems intent on sticking to the arbitrary (3 to 2 vote) decision to push for the cut through.
That subdivision must come up for a final public hearing (which must be published in the locals) and we must, at that time, make our concerns heard loud and clear. Experienced hands with keen insight into Town government tell us that a strong, vocal appearance at the hearing will be helpful. Pack the hall with as many residents as possible. Let everyone voice their objections, short and sweet, but to the point.
This same strategy can carryover to the Town Board meeting as well. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. Say nothing and expect nothing. Watch for the public notice and we'll do the same.
