9/11 Memories.

Remembering 9/11 doesn't get any easier. Somehow the stories of that terrible day are even more poignant five years later. The children who lost parents on that day are still hurting and trying to work through their loss. The health issues of those who searched the rubble at the WTC site for days on end are coming into focus as never before. Engine companies and city precincts are still suffering from their losses. Some business firms that occupied the towers have never really recovered. How can you ever forget the videos of so many walking around holding up pictures hoping that someone had a little information about their loved one. Put this behind us? Don't think so.
Wal-Mart, Getting a Little Closer
The Town board is in receipt of a site plan proposal for the construction of a new Wal-Mart to be constructed on route 58 opposite Tanger. The new store will occupy approximately 167,000 sq ft and will have an adjacent building with an additional 27,000 sq ft. No word on how the adjacent building will be utilized, although some new Wal-Mart locations have separated the retail dry goods from the supermarket type store by calling the food location "Price Choppers". The proposal is for some 20 acres and will include an automotive and garden center
