New Subdivision Moving Toward Approval- The Mastronardi subdivision, adjacent to and just east of The Preserve, has moved one step closer to final approval. Surveyors were spotted this week on Youngs Avenue flagging the property boundary. Meanwhile, the Town Planning Department has advised that preliminary drawings for the project have been received for review and that a date for a public hearing will be announced in the near future. A public notice will be posted on the property and a legal notice will be published in the Riverhead News-Review to announce the hearing for a probable date in May or sooner.

The cutting through of the cul-de-sac or tap street is of major concern to our neighbors and we must keep on top of this. Remember this is an election year and we should make the most of it.

Supervisor Names Deputy and Executive Assistant - Phil Cardinale has named George Bartunek to the post of Deputy Supervisor and Bill Welsh as Executive Assistant, replacing Chris Kent who has moved on to a County position.

The Beechwood Organization has offered $28 million dollars for 550 acres at EPCAL. Proposal is for light industry and office park. No houses are planned.
