A Countywide survey is being conducted to determine the feasibility of placing a casino gambling operation in one of the Suffolk townships. Legislator Ed Romaine has commented that downtown Riverhead would be a good location for such an operation. (The residents of this town may not agree with you Mr. Romaine). And then again-no one can be sure about that.
Gov Paterson Urging State Legislature to Slash Spending.
Once again the Governor is asking the State Assembly to reduce spending in the State because the budget simply can't handle the expenditures (and the people can't handle the taxes).
Governor Urged to Select Experienced Person to Replace Clinton.
Governor Paterson is being urged to select a temporary replacement for Sen Clinton who is experienced in government affairs and who will work for the people of the entire State including the upstaters who have been ignored for so many years. Peter King will run against the replacement in a special election in 2010.
