1. 100% of Republicans vote against it.
2. Less than 25 billion of 825 billion dollar package would create jobs.
3. 5.2 billion would go to ACORN (under investigation in 12 states)
4. 15 million for ATV trails
5. Illegals would get rebate checks
6. millions for "fish barriers" and on, and on..........
... and so much more. No stimulus here! STOP IT NOW!
NY State Now Wants To Preserve EPCAL Grasslands
In a surprising development NY State DEC has designated 800 acres of EPCAL grasslands for preservation. These are the same 800 acres allocated for ski resort development by Riverhead Resorts. Supervisor is seeking to have the "grasslands" designation removed.
Lowes Looking At Suffolk Life Site
The Suffolk Life site has been vacant since the publication ceased operation last year.
This could be an excellent use of the site and should be encouraged. Now why didn't Wal-Mart pursue this property as well?
Supermarket Facing Opposition
Compare foods wants to build a news supermarket on Route 58 on the site of a muffler shop east of Roanoke. Both KFC and Friendly's are opposed to the construction.
