Democratic Party Selects Riverhead Slate.
Phil Cardinale has once again been selected to run for Town Supervisor with Kathy Berezny, Shirley Coverdale and Rose Sanders to compete for Town Board seats. Sanders will run for the remainder of term vacated by Jim Buckley.

Suffolk Push For Gabreski
Suffolk County has signed a development agreement with Rechler Equity Partners to develop 58.6 acres on the west side of Gabreski Airport Currently running a deficit, the airport is eventually expected to produce some 7 million dollars, starting with an initial $665,000 from Rechler. Plans include a 165 room hotel.

King Urging Voters to Sink Card Check
Rep. Peter King (R) is urging all voters to petition the Whitehouse in an effort to sink the proposed "Card Check" bill.


California Taxes Out of Control
Left Coasters will vote next week on several propositions including Prop 1a which will increase sales taxes from 8% to 9%, raise the state personal income tax by .25% and up the state vehicle license tax from .65% to 1.15% (almost double). This state is in a lot of trouble.
