CBO Chairman Ordered to White House
The report by the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) declaring that the administration's health care plan was unsustainable may have scuttled the program. The CBO Chairman has been asked to the White House to explain his position. (The CBO is an independent arm of the Congress with no connection to the Executive Branch and has never been asked by the White House to explain it's findings before this).....HELLO!!

Richard Ravitch-Lt Gov.???..Not So Fast!!!
Supreme Court Justice William LaMarca has issued an injunction preventing former MTA Chairman, Richard Ravitch from becoming the Lt Governor of New York State as a result of a July 8 appointment by Gov. Paterson. State Senators Skelos(R) and Espada(D) had filed jointly for the injunction contending that the appointment was unconstitutional under NY State law. Hearing scheduled for August 25.

Homeland Security....here?
Riverhead residents have reported seeing increased activity by Homeland Security vehicles in the Riverhead area. The stepped up action may be the result of the recent violence at a local bistro on Main Street. Shouldn't local candidates for Town offices be required to give their opinion about issues such as illegal immigration, the Obama Health Care plan, gun control etc????
