Tim Bishop......at long last

The local office of Congressman Tim Bishop advises that Bishop will conduct a Town Hall meeting on the Obama Health Care plan on August 27 at the Brookhaven Town Hall. You may remember that Bishop had suspended his public meetings as a result of strong public outcry and opposition at a Setauket meeting earlier in the summer. Meanwhile town hall meetings have been held around the country by various congressmen and senators and the public outrage has not been abated.

Obama Reaching Out to Religious Leaders

Reaching out to church groups and leaders to push the health care plan is a novel idea from the Government especially when we have daily reports of teachers, administrators, football coaches and even valedictorians being cited or suspended for saying a prayer, a blessing or just thanking God for their success or happiness. What about that Mr. President?
