The 912'rs Have it Together
The 912 Patriot meeting groups are getting ready for that big march on Washington on September 12. The 912 groups here on the Island as well as from nearby states (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Georgia and so many other states) have been planning this huge rally for many months and it looks like it will be well attended. While displeasure over the Obama health care plan is the rallying point many other issues will be raised during the protests.

Peter King Says No To Senate Bid
Congressman Peter King has announced that he will not seek the nomination to run for the U.S. Senate to oppose Senator Kirsten Gillbrand. There has been no speculation as to another candidate. King says that he would have run against Caroline Kennedy.

Suffolk to Distribute Sex Offenders in County
Word is that County Exec Steve Levy is scouting out locations for placement of sex offenders rather than have them concentrated in just one area such as the trailers outside the prison complex in Riverside.

Short Takes
Southampton Supervisor Linda Kabot may not get the Integrity Party line on the November ballot. She already has the Republican line.

No word yet as to a candidate to oppose Tim Bishop. Richard Blumenthal is thinking about it. How about Ed Romaine?

Eliot Spitzer thinking about a return to politics by running for Controller or even to oppose Gillibrand for the Senate.
