Cardinale Offers Budget With 2.9% Increase

Riverhead Supervisor Phil Cardinale has presented a budget for 2010 with a 2.9% tax increase. Cardinale has kept the increase low by dipping into the Town's reserve fund.
Sean Walter, Republican candidate for Supervisor, said at a recent 912 "Meet the Candidates" night, that the Town is not talking about some huge expenses still on the books including the bond issued to cover the cost of the disastrous landfill project and the subsequent capping.
