Town Board Considers Rechler Extension
In 2007 Rechler Equity Partners agreed to purchase 300 acres of land at EPCAL for $35 million dollars.  The economy began to slow down in the next few years and Rechler asked the Town to consider a reduction in the original purchase price from $35 million to $18 million dollars.  The Town reluctantly agreed and approved the reduction.  Now Rechler is asking the Town for a contract extension of at least 3 months before completing the deal.  The Board will meet to decide on the request.

School District Names New Superintendent

EPCAL Testing
The Navy has announced that they will begin testing several methods to cleanup contaminated groundwater at EPCAL.  The site was, of course, under the supervision of the U.S. Navy and they hold the responsibility for any monitoring and cleanup efforts on the part of the Government.
