Friday. September 17 is Constitution Day.  Remember it.  Uphold it!

Board Member Warning
Town Board Member Jodi Giglio has warned the Town that it risks credibility when it isn't firm about contractual procedures such as extending the Riverhead Resorts agreement at EPCAL.  Allowing missed payment schedules and giving extensions means that Resorts owes the Town around $6 million dollars.  The Town could have moved on to other bidders for the EPCAL property whereas there is no positive sign that this deal will ever be concluded.

Suffolk Legislature Trailer Vote
The Suffolk County Legislature was scheduled to vote on the fate of the trailers parked at the Suffolk County prison in Riverside which house sex offenders.  The trailers have been the subject of many protests from residents who have objected to the close proximity to schools, homes and the local library.

Paladino TV Star
The primary win by Carl Paladino has made him a "must" interview.  Talking heads are doing their best to call him a Tea Party Candidate and he readily accepts the Tea Party support although he is, of course, winner of the Republican primary with strong support from Tea Party, 912ers and other conservative groups.  He has challenged Andrew Cuomo to debate him on any and all issues.  His aggressive campaign will make him a formidible challenger.

Altschuler vs Bishop
Randy Altschuler is now the Republican nominee to face Tim Bishop in the November elections.  Altschuler was challenged by Chris Cox and George Demos in the primary.  Altschuler was not considered as conservative as his opponents but eaked out a win anyway.
