Carl Paladino is accusing Andrew Cuomo of not agreeing to a debate. Meanwhile, Cuomo is saying that he may not debate Paladino. Carl has even questioned Cuomo's manhood. This is shaping up to be a campaign that was unexpected in many quarters.
Councilman Wants Shelter Gone
Coucilman Jim Wooten says that the Town doesn't have the resources to support the animal shelter and would hope that a private agency could take it over in some manner. Exactly how that would happen is not clear.
Yellow Barn Season Is Ending
The Yellow Barn (adjacent to the main library ) is in the final two weeks of it's sales event and will have its final sales day on October 2. The Barn is open on Monday and Friday with the final sale day on a Saturday. Can't beat the prices. Hard cover books are just 2 for $1 with paperbacks a lot less. Don't miss out.
Rail Spur Into EPCAL
A rail spur from the LIRR main line has now been completed and connected into Enterprise park. The spur which originally provided industrial service into the Grumman factory area had to be repaired and new track installed to finish the job. Crossing and signal equipment are scheduled downline.
