Riverhead Town Supervisor Sean Walter speaking before a group at the Calverton Links, delivered his State of the Town message and it was an optimistic one at that.
Walter cited achievement's in downtown planning and completed works. He spoke of the almost complete Hyatt down hotel adjacent to the Atlantis Aquarium, the new Dark Horse restaurant, work of the Business Improvement District, the Summerwind project and continuing work on the shuttered theater.
He also spoke of the future planning for EPCAL including the signing of a consulting contract with a firm assigned to help with intelligent plans for the 2900 acre parcel.
