Town Signs Agreement for Rail Traffic
The Town of Riverhead has signed an agreement with the NY and Atlantic Railway Company to provide rail service and rail infrastructure on rail track entering EPCAL. The railway will conduct freight railway operations.
Public Hearing on YMCA
The Town has announced that a public hearing will be held on July 17 at 7:05 pm to hear comments regarding the qualifications and eligibility for the YMCA to lease, purchase and develop 7.3 acres in EPCAL. The Board has made favorable overtures to the YMCA regarding their interest in obtaining a suitable site for the construction of a YMCA facility in the Riverhead area.
The Town Board has accepted the resignation of Charles Sclafani as a member of the Town Zoning Board. The resignation was effective May 11.
