Review Challenges McManmon
Editors at the Riverhead Times-Review publication have challenged the residency claim by attorney John McManmon.  McManmon who works for a law firm in Manhattan and maintains a residence in an apartment in Brooklyn has filed to run in a special election for the vacated 2nd District Assembly seat which covers the North Fork.  (The seat was vacated when Republican Dan Losquadro opted to run for the Brookhaven Highway Supe job).

Meanwhile Anthony Palumbo (R) has already been selected to run on the Republican side.  The Democrats may have to rethink their choice of McManmon or perhaps face a residency challenge to his candidacy.

Conservatives Rubber Stamp Republicans (except 1)
The Suffolk County Conservatives have endorsed all of the Republicans on the slate for the November elections save one.  They have not endorsed Jodi Giglio for another run for Town Councilperson although she remains as the Republican choice as Board member.  The Conservative decision may stem from past confrontations between Supervisor Sean Walter and Giglio.  (Walter is the former chairman of the Riverhead Conservative Party).
