Joe's Crab Shack Opens Thursday

The long awaited opening of Joe's Crab Shack will happen on Thursday June 20.  Expect a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 am that day as well as hundreds who will already be on line waiting to get in.  The restaurant is offering a free dinner prize (for one year) to the first one hundred guests.  Can't beat that.

Gator Found ...Shot
An alligator spotted in the Peconic River was found and shot before it could harm any boaters or fishermen.  Three other gators were captured in the river in April.

Opinion

How completely frustrating to watch the activities of the United States Senate and House of Representatives. If you are a viewer of C-Span you have a first hand look at the total ineptness of our Congress.  These are nothing but (with a few exceptions) a bunch of political hacks who no longer represent the interests of the American people.  The wishes of the American people are no longer being considered  by these 435 overpaid individuals.  All voting is along party lines (except when they name a post office).  They should all be voted out and give the people a fresh start.
