The Riverhead School Board will vote this evening on whether to grant tenure to Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, Sam Schneider.

Striped Bass The NY State Assembly has failed to pass a bill that would have extended the striped bass fishing season by an additional 16 days (until December 31).  The bill, sponsored by State Senator Ken LaValle had been previously approved by the Senate.

Coyote A coyote has been spotted in Water Mill. Prior to the sighting (photo taken) it was thought that the island had not been invaded by the wild creatures.  Some now suggest that they may also be on the North Fork.

Jobs &Food stamps

Disturbing figures indeed.  There are now more than 47 million Americans on food stamps.  More than 100 million Americans receive some kind of food assistance.  There are only 90 million Americans who are actually employed.  The real unemployment rate  is 14.6% according to .official stats.  A large number of last month's newly employed were part timers. Not good.

Tebow New England Patriots fans can turn in their Aaron Hernandez jerseys for another without charge.  Many are exchanging for a Tebow.
