Fire Commish Vote Tuesday
Incumbent Fire Commissioner Dennis Hamill is running for reelection this week.  Opposing is Kevin Barty, also of the department.  Voting will be at FD Headquarters on Roanoke Avenue from 3 to 9 om on Tuesday December 10.

Looks like go-karting may be on again.  Proponents of the kart recreation have won a review of their original proposal to build a cart track on Edwards Avenue south of the Fed Ex building.  At one time rejected by the town the carters have been given new life and will renew their proposal.

Trader Joe's Reopens After Crash
When an elderly woman drove through the front of the Trader Joes store in Oceanside on Friday, doing extensive damage and injuring many customers it appeared that the south shore specialty store wouldn't reopen for some time.  Wrong!  The store was reopened in less than 24 hours.  Nice job.
