Turning Their Backs on the Vets

 How is it possible for any senator to turn his or her back on  the veterans of this country by allowing a reduction in their pensions in order to pass Res 59, the budget extension bill.  This deceptive little item came to light very late in the deliberations, safely hidden in the complex wording of the bill crafted by Paul Ryan (R) of the House and Patty Murray (D) of the Senate.Several Republican Senators tried to undo this insult to our veterans by proposing an amendment to remove the offending rule, Harry Reid would not have any of it.  Kelly Ayotte (R) and several others did their best but couldn't get reason to prevail.  The Dems and many Republicans didn't seem to care how the veterans were being mistreated.  Just wanted this bill done and get off to a holiday break.

Don't normally watch this show but the current situation wherein Phil Robertson has been suspended by AE for a magazine interview he gave raises some serious questions regarding free speech. Prediction: this family will take a walk from their current outlet and find another channel.
