Judge Halts Implementation of Voter ID Law in PA
A judge has now halted the implementation of Pennsylvania's voter ID law, a law that was enacted more than a year ago.  The judge stated that there is not enough time left before the election for residents to get their IDs and still be able to vote.  Are you serious?  The law is a year old.  IDs can be obtained everywhere.  At your DMV office, your local library, just about anywhere you go in the state.  This country is in a lot of trouble when you can't require someone to prove who he or she is when they show at the polls.

Town Budget Up 2.9%
Sean Walter has presented a Riverhead town budget that increases taxes by some 2.9% which somehow stays under the state mandated cap of 2%.  It will cut some spending and include layoffs of at least three people.  The Supervisor's budget will be reviewed by the other members of the town board.

Corner of Ostrander and Rte 58
This can be a dangerous corner.  Accident there on Monday afternoon may have been caused by one vehicle going through the Rte 58 red light (according to one witness).  No need for speed at that corner.
