Aldi Opens Friday
Riverhead's newest supermarket will open on Friday with a ribbon cutting at 9 am.  Aldi is located in the same shopping center as Dicks Sporting Goods and the Christmas Shop.  Buffalo Wild Wings has yet to announce their opening date.

Walmart Opens Jan 15
The much awaited opening of Walmart on route 58 will finally happen on January 15.  Meanwhile the store is attempting to hire some 86 new employees to handle the much larger facility.  The smaller Walmart currently still operating at the other end of town,also on route 58 will eventually close when the move is complete.

New AD at Mercy
Paul Mastronardi, former FDNY Lt, has been named as the new Athletic Director for McGann-Mercy School on Middle Road and Ostrander.

Property Taxes Due Friday
Riverhead town property taxes are due and payable by Friday, January 10 at the Office of the Tax Receiver on Howell Avenue.
