Moved Your Clocks Ahead?
They always say that it gives the farmers more daylight.  Really?  Anyway make sure you move yours and don't forget to check the time set on your thermostats.

Grapes and Greens Busy
The fruit and veg distributor in the old Blackman building on Sound Avenue has just added beer to it's distribution list.  Port Jefferson Brewery has been on board with Grapes & G for sometime and has now also added Long Ireland beer to the inventory.

The local breweries have been responsible for the success of hop farmers on the island.  Hops are essential to the brewing process and it has given the planters a great outlet for their unique product.

Guddha Not Good Enough...Yet
The Guddha LLC firm has had it's plans for a 24 seat, 3200 square foot restaurant for Harrison Avenue postponed once again.  Their idea to build an eatery on a sliver of land between Taco Bell and Harrison Avenue has met with some resistance from the Riverhead Planning Board but has not received a final vote by the Board.  Some say that a full board vote would likely defeat the proposal. Stay tuned for the next meeting.

Snow Blowers
Someone tell us that we can finally put away those snow blowers until the next season.
