Firehouse Bond Issue Approved by Voters
The 14.7 million dollar bond issue which will be used to construct a new firehouse on Roanake Ave. was approved by voters by 393 to 177. The approved bond will place a burden on Riverhead, Southhampton and Brookhaven residents (who are within the fire district) of approximately $105 a year for houses having an average value of $436,000.
