Town Destroys Cul-de-sac
Cutting through the tap street from the Preserve to the Mastronardi subdivision began in earnest on Wednesday when construction crews dug up street paving. The circular turnaround was forever changed by removing the half circles of the two properties which directly front on the cul-de-sac. These recovered half circles will most likely be filled in with top soil and sodded. The turnaround has disappeared for school buses, UPS trucks or sanitation carters as well. The peace, quiet and security of the cul-de-sac has been removed and an unnecessary tap street constructed as a result of a poor decision on the part of the Planning Department. This is an election year. Don't forget it.

Giant Waterslide Video-Probably a Fake
Some experts have been looking carefully at the much viewed video and have concluded that it is probably a fake although they don't seem to be entirely certain of how it was done. It was fun while it lasted.

AARP Controversy Causes New Players to Show
When it was announced that the AARP had endorsed the Obama health care plan, (since denied) many members were ready to bail out on the organization. New organizations (which oppose the health care plan) jumped to offer membership including 60plus.org. Now A-mac, a conservative retirement group is offering membership at $12.50 a year. Pharmaceuticals Make a Deal?
It has been said that the pharmaceutical industry has made a deal whereby they would endorse the administration's health care plan by contributing $80-150 million dollars and would get, in return, removal from any health bill a provision which allowed renegotiation of prescription drug prices. Makes you want to take a shower.
