Just last week Ed Romaine (Legislator-1st District Suffolk) asked for an oversight commission to keep on eye on theLIPA.  This week, in consideration of all the MTA problems he wants to include the MTA in the function. (Note: Connecticut Power looking at a 5% rate cut in 2010)


Nebraska Deal Not Setting Well
Now that Sen Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska) has made a deal with Harry Reid to have the Federal Government (meaning all of us) pay for Nebraska's Medicaid, other Senators and State officials are getting angry. The deal secured Nelson's vote for the health care bill of course and now others want their share.

NY Schools Will Run Out of Stimulus Money
The Federal stimulus funding for schools is scheduled to end in two years making things bleak for Long Island school districts.
